Sometimes the cover of a song explodes out of the shell of the original. This is one of those times. 'Here She Comes Now' was originally a Lou Reed ditty recorded with the Velvet Underground, but Kurt Cobain saw a far more raw and driving song in Reed's composition. There's a nice recording of the track on the Nirvana b-side box set With the Lights Out, but this live recording seems especially real and personal. Kurt hits a few wrong chords here and there and there's a little extended jam at the end. The video's not the best quality but it probably sums up what it felt like to be at an underground rock club when Nirvana first started playing. Great stuff. Check it out below.
